Garden Of Eden although it does not produce any chocolate of its own carries an interesting selection of chocolate
products. Outside of Zabars they may have the best assortment of packaged chocolate bars. A quick, no where near
complete list includes Lake Champlain ( 16 different ), Hachez Cocoa De Maracaibo , Cote d'Or (15 different ) , Bernard
Castelain ( 7 different ) , Plantations Arriba ( 12 different ) , Korkunov, the only place I know of that sells this highly
touted but slightly overated product in New York ( 3 different including Hazelnut, Dark and Milk Chocolate ) , Lindt ( a
staggering 23 different ) Milka ( 3 different including White Coconut ) , El Rey , After Eight from Nestle , Trufettes de
France ( 5 different ) , Terra Nostra Organic , the 73% is very very dark and extremely tasty , Michel Cluiziel ( 15
different ) , Valrhona ( 7 different ) , Perugina ( 9 different ) , Veritas ( 5 different ) , Sweet Riot ( 3 different ) , Galler ( 4
different ) , Finissimo Cloccolato ( 4 different ) , Ghiradelli ( 7 different ) , Feodora , Camille Bloch ( 8 different ) ,
Chocolat Weiss ( 2 different ) , Kinder - schokolade , Droste ( 2 different ) as well as 5 kinds of Pastilles , Cape Cod
Cranberry ( 2 different ) , Milka ( 7 different ) , La Rabar ( 4 different ) , Colts Bolts , Ritter Sports ( 12 different ) ,
Scharffen Berger ( 4 different ) , Chocolove ( 5 different ) , Newtree ( 7 different ) , Zolter ( 4 different ) , Green & Black (
8 different ) , Lake Champlain ( 10 different ) , Vivani - organic ( 5 different ) , Dagoba ( 6 different ) and a selection of
Truffles which at $40 a pound are a bit steep. On our last visit they had 18 different truffles and we most enjoyed the
CocoBello Praline which was Dark Chocolate over coconut with coconut shavings on top. We have purchased bars here
a few times and have always found them to be fresh which has become a concern as we have been finding with the
expansion of quality chocolate into local shops that don't specialize in chocolate more stale bars or bars that have been
damaged through exposure to heat.
