2007 - Wow, what an adventure. It's hard to impress here at eChocolateNYC but Max Brenner, a fictional construct by
the way, has managed to do it. The company started in Israel in 1996 and has a few locations in Australia and Asia. The
opening of their New York City store has been an eagerly awaited event and they don't disappoint. Four thousand plus
square feet of chocolate wonder. A gift shop up front sells a wide range of truffles and other chocolate goodies. In the
back a take out counter and a nice large area with table service. You can load up on Banana Split Waffles - Melting
Marshmallow Crepe which is a combination of melted chocolate, marshmallow, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and
white chocolate chunks - Chocolate Pizza and Warm Double Chocolate Fondue. We've visited three times and twice had
to wait about fifteen minutes for a table. This is a sweet tooth's paradise.
