1/23/08 - A new addition to New York's chocolate scene. Roni-Sue Kave has created her own version of cocktail hour all
in chocolate. Her truffles are well crafted and surprisingly robust. For example her Strawberry / Rhubarb ( Perzipan
blended with rhubarb jam, pure dried strawberry and rhubarb puree infused with wild strawberry liqueur ) works well.
Tart and sweet with just the mildest kick. How about the Blueberry ( Callebaut bittersweet ganache and dried blueberries
with blueberry eau d'vie ) another winner.
Not only is the product top notch but the store is a gem. Tiny, it can only accommodate a handful of customers at one
time. This one showcase operation is a tremendous addition to the Market and the neighborhood. The best review we
can give is from our ten year old chocolate expert who while munching on one of the pretzel sticks coated with chocolate
and walnuts wiped the crumbs from his mouth and commented "this is the life".
