Upper East Side Metropolitan Museum
This luxurious cafe is tucked neatly into the Neue Galerie, Fifth Avenues museum devoted to Austrian and German art.
The room is gorgeous and is worth a visit for the ambiance alone. The food is top notch German and Austrian cuisine
and the pastry is first rate. You can pop in for a handful of boxed chocolate items to go and all are worth a try. A bag of
chocolate dusted almonds is only $5 a bargain in our opinion. There is also an item the Keksbox which comes with
some pralines, florentines and linzers all covered in chocolate. I've heard rumour of but have yet to try a small coconut
macaroon.
